Jeremy Narby

Jeremy Narby ( born 1959 in Montreal) is an anthropologist. He became famous for his book The Cosmic Serpent with descriptions of self-experiments with ayahuasca.

Life

Jeremy Narby grew alternately in Switzerland and Canada. After studying history at Canterbury, he transferred to anthropology at Stanford University. He spent two years with studies in the Peruvian Amazon in Ashaninka Indians. Today he teaches at Stanford anthropology and lives alternately in Switzerland, Canada and the United States.
