Jeremy Yablonski

Jeremy Yablonski ( born March 21, 1980 in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since October 2013 in the ECHL with the Idaho Steelheads under contract.

Career

Jeremy Yablonski began his career as a hockey player in Canadian junior Western Hockey League in which he was active from 1997 to 1999 for the Edmonton Ice and after their relocation for any successor to Team Kootenay Ice. The majority of the 1998/99 season and the entire 1999/2000 season he missed because of a severe concussion suffered in training. The 2000/01 season began the winger at the WHL Seattle Thunderbirds team for which he but just a game played before moving for the entire rest of the season on the Phoenix Mustangs of the West Coast Hockey League. The season 2001/ 02 he spent in their league rivals Idaho Steelheads. In the season 2002/ 03 he played for the Peoria Rivermen of the ECHL and the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks and Worcester IceCats in the American Hockey League. In Worcester, he also started the following season, where he in the National Hockey League was parallel in a game for their cooperation partners St. Louis Blues on the ice.

In January 2004, Yablonski was committed by the NHL's Nashville Predators, played in the following two and a half years, but only for their farm team in the AHL Milwaukee Admirals. The entire 2006/07 season he spent with his former Team Idaho Steelheads, who were now included in the ECHL. He then played three years for the Binghamton Senators in the AHL and in the 2010/11 season for their league rivals Bridgeport Sound Tigers. For the 2011/12 season the Canadians from Vityaz Chekhov of the Kontinental Hockey League was committed. There was Yablonski, known for his aggressive style of play as Enforcer, double check for excessive force and unsportsmanlike behavior on and off the ice, so he was locked in November 2011 for the rest of the season of the KHL. At this time he had played just eight games for Vityaz due to various barriers, however, already received 113 penalty minutes.

On June 6, 2013 Vityaz Chekhov his club announced that the contract with Jeremy Yablonski was dissolved.
