Jerome Biffle

Jerome Cousins ​​Biffle ( born March 20, 1928 in Denver, Colorado; † 4 September 2002 ) was an American track and field athlete. At a height of 1.84 m his competition weight was 79 kg.

Jerome Biffle was in high school in the sprint, high jump, long jump and American football successfully. In 1950 he was master of the National Collegiate Athletic Association in the long jump. In 1951 he went to the Army.

In 1952 he was second in the U.S. Trials for the Olympic Games. In Helsinki, he won the competition with 7.57 meters, four inches from his compatriot Meredith Gourdine, who had beaten him in the trials.

After his career Biffle worked in school administration from Denver.
