Jérôme Efong Nzolo

Jérôme Efong Nzolo ( born September 21, 1974 in Bitam, Gabon ) is a Belgian football referee Gabonese origin.

Efong Nzolo grew up in his native Gabon. As a teenager, he was already a very successful football player, but after a broken leg, he was also active as a referee. In 1995, he came with a scholarship in the Belgian town of Charleroi, to study electrical engineering. After his arrival, he played briefly in the seventh league. Then he began to work as a referee. In 2000 he made ​​the jump from the minor leagues up to the fourth league. In 2006, he finally came to his debut in the First Division. In 2007 Efong Nzolo was elected in Belgium Referee of the Year, where he surpassed the well-known referee Frank De Bleeckere.
