Jérôme-Michel-Francis Martin

Jérôme -Michel- Francis Martin, OFM Cap (born 10 June 1941 in La Chapelle, Chambéry, France, † December 4, 2009 in Limoges ) was a Roman Catholic religious priest and bishop of Berbérati.

Life

Jérôme Martin joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, and laid on June 26, 1966 profession on. He received on 29 June 1967, the ordination.

From 1980 to 1987 he was Apostolic Administrator in Berbérati. Pope John Paul II appointed him bishop of the 1987 Berbérati in the Central African Republic. He received his episcopal consecration on January 24, 1988, the Archbishop of Chambéry, Claude Feidt; Co-consecrators were Hubert Marie Pierre Dominique Barbier, former Bishop of Annecy and Edouard Mathos, former auxiliary bishop in the diocese Bossangoa.

In 1991, Pope John Paul II to his age-related withdrawal. On 4 December 2009, died Bishop Martin. He was buried in the church of La Chapelle.
