Jerry Bengtson

Jerry Bengtson Ricardo Bodden ( born April 8, 1987 in Santa Rosa de Aguán, Honduras ) is a Honduran international footballer, who is currently at New England Revolution in Major League Soccer contract.

Club career

CD Vida

At the age of 17 years Jerry Bengtson debuted for CD Vida in Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Honduras, the top division of Honduras. Vida he was in the Clausura 2009/10 and the Apertura 2010/11 with twelve scorer.

CD Motagua

For the Clausura 2010/11 Bengtson moved to CD Motagua. There, he scored in the 18 games of the regular season eleven goals. In the final round of the Honduran championship he steered semi-final against his former club Vida at a hit. In the two finals against CD Olimpia Bengtson scored in the first leg a goal in a 2-2 draw. 3-1 second-leg success he scored two goals, with which he was able to both secure the title as the top scorer for the third time in series, and the first champion.

National team career

In April 2010, Bengtson debuted for the national team of Honduras in the match against Venezuela. In total he scored in 13 international matches so far with five goals, including three goals at the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2011. Additionally, he scored there in a penalty shootout the winning goal in the quarterfinal win over Costa Rica.
