Jerry Jones

Jerrel Wayne "Jerry" Jones ( born October 13, 1942 in Los Angeles, California, USA) is the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, an American football team in the National Football League ( NFL).

Career

Jones grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he attended the High School, the first experience with American football where he made as a running back. While studying at the University of Arkansas, he played for the Arkansas Razorbacks as the Guard. The college team was declared in 1964, with him to the national champion. After his studies he began in Oklahoma, an oil company to build. The company is still in his possession. Overall, his fortune is estimated at over 1 billion U.S. dollars.

1989 Jones bought the Dallas Cowboys, who were one of the worst teams in the league at this time. One of his first acts was the dismissal of Tom Landry, the legendary coach of the Cowboys. For this release, he is now with the fans still under review. Jones established his old fellow student Jimmy Johnson as their new coach. Along with it, he developed a new concept to lead the team back to the top league. The Cowboys were in 1992 and 1993 respectively to the Super Bowl win under Jimmy Johnson and 1995 under their new coach Barry Switzer.

Jerry Jones has three children with his wife, Gene, Stephen, Charlotte and Jerry (Jr.). He is a member of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
