Jerry Schatzberg

Jerry Schatzberg ( born June 26, 1927 in New York City ) is an American film director and photographer.

Life and career

Jerry Schatzberg was born into a Jewish furrier family in the Bronx. Prior to his work as a director in the film business Jerry Schatzberg worked in the 1960s as a photographer for magazines such as Vogue, Esquire, and others. Previously, he studied at the University of Miami. In 1968 he shot the photos for the music album We're Only in It for the Money the group The Mothers of Invention.
