Jerry Spinelli

Jerry Spinelli ( born February 1, 1941 in Norristown, Pennsylvania) is an American youth book author. His dedicated young people's books have received multiple awards, including the Newbery Medal (1991). 1998 was also Wringer (German: pigeon hunting ) on the honor list for the American Children's Book Award. Dove hunting was the first of his books translated into the German language.
