Jesper Damgaard

Jesper Damgaard ( born May 6, 1975 in Holstebro ) is a former Danish hockey players.

Career

Jesper Damgaard began his career as a hockey player in his native Denmark in the AL -Bank Ligaen at the Herning Blue Fox, with whom he immediately became Danish champion in the 1991/92 season. After two years in professional team of Herning, he moved to Malmö Redhawks, for whom he made ​​his debut in the Swedish Elitserien in the 1993/94 season. In Malmö, the defender was also in the following six years before he for Revierlöwen Oberhausen aground in the German Ice Hockey League from 2000 to 2002. In summer 2007, Damgaard returned for the first time after 14 years back to Denmark, when he joined the Rødovre Mighty Bulls from the AL-Bank Ligaen. In the point best season of his career the right shooter scored in 45 games overall scorer 31 points, including four goals and won with his team the Danish Ice Hockey Cup. For Denmark Damgaard took at junior level at the U18 Junior B European Championships in 1992 and 1993 and U20 Junior C World Championships in 1993, 1994 and 1995 in part.

In the senior level, he participated in the B World Championships in 1994, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 for Denmark. In addition, he was part of at the A World Championships in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 in the squad in Denmark.
