Biography

Even in his early youth, after he moved with his parents to Los Angeles, he has made at his junior high school with Adam Levine and bassist Mickey Madden music. They played, among others, influenced by Nirvana and Pearl Jam. After last drummer Ryan Dusick was added in the band Kara 's Flowers was established. Carmichael and the three other band members secured a recording contract with Reprise Records and recorded their first album. After a year in New York, he returned to LA, where he met James Valentine, which then also a band member. Later, Kara 's Flowers then Maroon 5, where he then with Levine, Madden, Dusick and the newly added Valentine 2002 album Songs About Jane recorded, which in 2004 reached platinum status. Furthermore, he later worked with Maroon 5 on the album It Will not Be Soon Before Long, which was released in 2007.
