Jesse Williams (actor)

Jesse Williams ( * August 5, 1981 in Chicago, Illinois ) is an American actor.

Life

Williams was born to a Swedish mother, a teacher at a high school and an African American father in 1981 in Chicago. Williams graduated from Temple University with a degree in African American Studies and Film & Media Arts. He taught English and history at a high school in Philadelphia.

Beginning September 2012 Williams married in Los Angeles to his longtime girlfriend, a real estate agent, after five years of relationship. In December 2013, the couple's daughter was born.

Career

In 2006, Williams made ​​a guest appearance in an episode of Law & Order, where he portrayed the character of Kwame. He also starred in The American Dream and The Sandbox at the Cherry Lane Theatre in Greenwich Village in New York City. Both one-act play written by playwright Edward Albee.

In 2008, Williams made ​​his film debut in the supporting role of Leo in A for 4 - the Traveling Pants. He also played Drew Collins in the ABC Family series Greek. He appeared there in two episodes.
