Jessica Brown Findlay

Jessica Brown Findlay ( born September 14, 1989 in Cookham, Berkshire as Jessica Rose Brown - Findlay ) is a British actress.

Life and career

Brown Findlay grew up as the daughter of a financial adviser and a secretary in Cookham, Berkshire, on.

As a teenager she initially aspired to a career in ballet and trained at the National Youth Ballet and dancers from the Royal Ballet. At 15, she received an invitation, together with the Kirov Ballet for one season at the Royal Opera House to act. After completing school, she began training at the London Arts Educational School, where she had after several operations on the ankle up dancing in the second year.

Your teacher convinced her to continue her education at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, where she first came into contact with acting. After recommendation of some casting agents, she received a complete surprise her first starring role in the comedy Albatross alongside Julia Ormond and Sebastian Koch. Her portrayal of Emelia Conan - Doyle brought her one nomination as Most Promising Newcomer for the British Independent Film Award and the Evening Standard British Film Award.

From 2010 to 2012 Brown Findlay starred in the multi-award -winning drama series Downton Abbey in the role of Sybil Crawley. In 2014 she played the role of Beverly Penn in Winter 's Tale, the film adaptation of Mark Helprins fantasy novel, alongside Colin Farrell and Russell Crowe.
