The vaccination gun is employed for vaccination medical technology instrument by which, instead of as usual with syringes, the inoculum fluid with high pressure (about 85 MPa) is applied through the skin into the subcutaneous tissue, which may lead to infections of inoculation.

The vaccination gun is used in veterinary medicine for the mass vaccination of animals. The vaccine is continuously metered. In human medicine, the vaccination gun is used in particular for reasons of sterility little more and seems to be particularly suitable for children. As early as 1985 recommended the Federal Health Office, to dispense with series of vaccinations on their application to (eg HIV ) prevent the transmission of diseases.
