Jetalliance
Jetalliance was an Austrian airline based in Kottingbrunn who had specialized in business flights.
History
Lukas Lichtner- Hoyer in 1989 founded the AVIA Consult flight -GmbH, as he noticed that were too few good deals available in business aviation. Seven years later, Frank Stronach founded Magna Air Luftfahrt GmbH, which represented a wholly owned subsidiary. There were purchased from Falcon 900B and Cessna Citation V Ultra ever a jet.
By 1999, six more jets were bought, including a Learjet. In 2000 the company went public and was renamed to the name Jetalliance Flugbetriebs AG. Lukas Lichtner -Hoyer (CEO) first received all the shares of stock, however, he sold 25 % of the shares of Norbert Winkler, who thus became a board member. As of 2002, the company expanded to the east and acquires the first long-haul aircraft, a Gulfstream IV, Gulfstream V and McDonnell Douglas MD -83 VIP.
In 2004, the sister company AC Aircraft Sales & Consulting was founded, which sells mainly new aircraft from Cessna. Furthermore, also used aircraft of all manufacturers are sold. In the same year Jetalliance bought a Boeing 737 VIP with 40 seats and established new bases in Bulgaria, England, Kuwait, Romania, Russia and Ukraine.
2005, the company ordered 20 new business jets that were delivered starting with the year 2006. In order to increase its visibility, the Jetalliance Racing Team was founded. In 2006, the YES flight school at the airport Vöslau - Kottingbrunn by Austro Control has been approved as a training facility.
In 2007 the company was again converted into a limited company and the number of board members was extended to three. AC Aircraft Sales and Consulting GmbH was named the most successful international dealer of Cessna after the sale of 65 business jets.
In November 2012, the company filed for bankruptcy, the claims amount to approximately EUR 28.9 million in October 2013 it was decided to close the company and dissolve.
