Jewish Museum of Australia

The Jewish Museum of Australia in Melbourne was founded in 1982 by Rabbi Lubofski. He came to Australia in 1957 and headed the Jewish Congregation of St. Kilda until 1988. His goal was to set up a means for developing new opportunities for the preservation and care of the Jewish heritage to life. In 1995, the Museum of the synagogue Melbourne in a building close to Temple Beth Israel in St Kilda. The Jewish Museum of Australia acquired through its comprehensive education program national recognition and has presented over the years numerous exhibitions.

Since 2008, the Jewish Museum of Australia use instead of the Austrian Holocaust Memorial Service.
