Jewish Renewal

Jewish Renewal (Hebrew התחדשות יהודית ) is a direction in today's Judaism that attempts to combine modernity with traditional elements of Kabbalah, Hasidism and meditation. She does not understand itself as an independent Jewish denomination such as the Liberal Judaism Orthodox Judaism and also does not have a formal organizational structure, even if there is with the organization ALEPH Alliance for Jewish Renewal a World Federation of Jewish communities and institutions, who feel the idea of Jewish Renewal connected.

The most prominent representatives of Jewish Renewal is living in the United States, Rabbi Zalman Schachter - Shalomi. The cantor Jalda Rebling belongs to the German representatives of Jewish Renewal. In Germany there are Jewish Renewal groups in Berlin ( Ohel hachidusch ) and Munich ( Beth Avraham ).
