Jewish Restitution Successor Organization

The Jewish Restitution Successor Organization Inc. ( JRSO, also IRSO; German: Jewish Restitution Successor Organization ), headquartered in New York was founded in 1948 by several American and international Jewish organizations.

Their goal was to operate in restitution process in the American occupation zone as well as in the American sector in Berlin, the restitution of heritage loose assets of individuals as well as the assets of institutions and organizations which have been "Jewish" racially persecuted as a public company and later murdered or released had been. The acquired assets distributed in this way JRSO to Jewish institutions and organizations, especially in the U.S. and in Israel.

The parallel organizations in the British and French Zone of Germany and in the corresponding zones of Berlin were the Jewish Trust Corporation Ltd.. ( JTC ) or the Jewish Trust Corporation industry Française ( JTC BF).

Later on, the tasks of JRSO (and the JTC and JTC BF) of the Jewish Claims Conference were adopted.
