JewishGen

JewishGen is a US-based website, an online database for searching genealogical information. It is a non -profit organization with three fixed and over 1,000 volunteers and organizationally connected to the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York.

JewishGen was founded in 1987 by Susan E. King and is now under the leadership of Warren Journal, Avraham Groll and Michael Tobias.

Searchable include information on the Holocaust, such as lists of members of Jewish communities in Germany, who were deported and killed. You can search by location or name. Currently the database covers around 20 million records.

The partial database ShtetlSeeker is a database to search villages in 45 countries, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

With Worldwide burial registry ( JOWBR ) you can search for burial locations worldwide.
