Jhonen Vasquez

Jhonen Vasquez ( born September 1, 1974 in San Jose, California ), also known by his pseudonyms Mr. scolex scolex and chancre, is a comic book artist and has been creating a cartoon series.

Among his most famous works include Johnny the Homicidal Maniac ( = Johnny the gunman ), Squee! and the animated series Invader bdrm Jhonens comics are mostly black and white and include black humor and cynicism and aimed at adult readers. You are not have been published in German language.

Despite this rather gloomy mood in his works, the children's channel Nickelodeon commissioned him in 2001 with a cartoon series. He designed the successful series Invader Zim, which but a year later by Nickelodeon ( so the official announcement ) was canceled due to lack of viewership.
