Jiamusi
Jiamusi (佳木斯 市) is a prefecture -level city in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, located on the bank of the middle and lower reaches of the Songhua Jiang. Jiamusi has an area of approximately 32,700 km ² and about 2.49 million inhabitants ( end of 2004), of which 800,000 in the inner city area.
Important and well-known educational institutions are the Jiamusi University (佳木斯 大学) and the first middle school Jiamusi (佳木斯 第一 中学), one of the best middle schools throughout Heilongjiang.
Administrative Divisions
At county level, Jiamusi sets of four city districts, four counties and two independent cities together. These are:
- City Qianjin District (前进 区), 14 km ², 160,000 inhabitants, the city center, seat of the city government;
- City District Xiangyang (向阳 区), 24 km ², 100,000 inhabitants;
- City Dongfeng County (东风 区), 53 km ², 100,000 inhabitants;
- Municipality Jiao (郊区= " suburban " ), 792 km ², 470,000 inhabitants;
- Circle Huanan (桦南县), 4416 km ², 440,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Huanan (桦南 镇);
- Huachuan County (桦川县), 2260 km ², 220,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Yuelai (悦来 镇);
- Circle tangyuan (汤原 县), 3230 km ², 270,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community tangyuan (汤原 镇);
- Fuyuan county (抚远 县), 6260 km ², 110,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Fuyuan (抚远 镇);
- Tongjiang City (同 江 市), 6252 km ², 170,000 inhabitants;
- Fujin City (富锦市), 8,227 m², 450,000 inhabitants.
