Jiangmen

Jiangmen (江门 市, river gate, Pinyin: Jiangmen ) is a prefecture -level city in Guangdong Province, China. It is home town of many overseas Chinese.

Geography

The city is located west of the estuary of the Pearl River, about 60 km southwest of Guangdong metropolis of Guangzhou. The surface shape of Jiangmen is flat, only in the West, it is slightly hilly. The territory is crossed by numerous rivers, creeks and canals. The most important river is the West River, the main branch or the west arm east to the city center flows past. Traffic

Jiangmen is a major transportation hub Guangdong. The city has the second largest river port in the province.
