Jianyang, Sichuan

The city of Jianyang (简阳 市, Jiǎnyáng Shì ) is a county-level city in the prefecture-level city in the Chinese province of Sichuan Ziyang. It has an area of 2215 km ² and 1,420,000 inhabitants counts ( 2004). Capital is the greater community Jiancheng (简 城镇). The city is located in the center of the Sichuan Basin.

Located in the urban area of the pagoda Shengde Temple (圣德 寺塔, Shengde tǎ sì ) is on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China.
