Jiaoqu, Jiamusi

Jiao (郊区, suburb ') is a municipality of the prefecture-level city of Jiamusi in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. It has an area of 792 km ² and has 470,000 inhabitants (2008 ). In July 2006, Jiao has been increased by the dissolved municipality Yonghong.

Administrative Divisions

At the community level, Jiao is composed of two road districts, five large municipalities and six municipalities. These are:

• Road district Jiaxi (佳 西 街道);
• Road district Youyi (友谊 街道);
• Greater community Aoqi (敖 其 镇);
• Greater community Changfa (长发 镇);
• Greater community Dalai (大 来 镇);
• Greater community Lianjiangkou (莲 江口 镇);
• Greater community Wangjiang (望江 镇);
• Community Changqing (长青 乡);
• Community Ping'an (平安 乡);
• Community Qunsheng (群 胜 乡);
• Community Sifeng (四 丰 乡);
• Community Xigemu (西格 木 乡);
• Community Yanjiang (沿江 乡).

In the administrative area Jiao's also are:

• The State Farmland suburban development (郊区 农垦);
• The state prison Lianjiangkou (莲 江口 监狱).
