Jill Watson

Marilynn Jill Watson ( born March 29, 1963 in Bloomington, Indiana) is a former American figure skater who started in pair skating.

First they began pair skating at the side of Burt Lancon. With him, she finished sixth at the 1984 Olympic Games.

Starting in 1985, then was Peter Oppegard her figure skating partner. In the years 1985, 1987 and 1988 were U.S. Masters. In the period from 1985 to 1988, she participated in the World Championships. Their only World Cup medal she won bronze in 1987 in Cincinnati behind the Soviet pairs Gordejewa Ekaterina and Sergei Grinkow and Jelena Walowa and Oleg Vasiliev. The same result achieved Oppegard and Watson also at the 1988 Olympics in Calgary.

Watson now works as a trainer. For five years she trained Rena Inoue and John Baldwin.
