Jim Beam

Jim Beam is an American Bourbon whiskey.

History

Since 1795 these whiskeys places is produced in the Jim Beam distillery in Clermont, Kentucky. Founder of the distillery was the German -born Johannes was born on February 9, 1760 Jacob Boehm, who later renamed to Jacob Beam. The whiskey produced by him became known as bourbon, most likely named after Bourbon County in Kentucky. The drink was first sold under the name Old Jake Beam distillery from the Old Tub.

Jacobs son David (1802-1854) and his grandson David M. Beam (1833-1913) expanded and moved the headquarters to the newly built railway to Nelson County. The great-grandson of the founder, Colonel James B. Beam (1864-1947), built after Prohibition the company in 1933 in Clermont, Kentucky, near his hometown of Bardstown again. More CEOs were T. Jeremiah Beam (1899-1977) and his son James B. Beam Booker Noe ( 1929-2004 ).

The son of Booker Noe, Fred Noe (1957 ) continues the family tradition and head of the company.

Beginning of 2014 was Jim Beam from the Japanese liquor company Suntory, which is the largest whiskey manufacturer in Japan with brands such as Yamazaki, Hakushu, Hibiki and Kakubinder taken over for around twelve billion euro.
