Jim Delaney

Francis James "Jim" Delaney (* March 1, 1921; † April 2, 2012 in Santa Rosa ) was an American shot putter.

In 1947, he was U.S. champion. The following year, he qualified with his personal best of 16.81 m for the London Olympics, where she won the silver medal with 16.68 meters (gold and bronze went to his countrymen Wilbur Thompson with 17,12 m and Jim Fuchs 16.42 m) and defended his U.S. Title.
