Jim Elder

James Robert "Jim" Elder, OC ( born July 27, 1934 in Toronto, Ontario) is a former Canadian show jumping and eventing riders.

He competed in seven Olympic Games (1956 and 1960 in eventing, show jumping thereafter ), five Pan American Games as well as in three World Cups.

With the Summer Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 he rode in the team with his brother, Norman, who was then just 20 years old.

He was inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame in 1968, In 1983 he was Officer of the Order of Canada. Since 2003, he has a star on the Canadian Walk of Fame.
