Jim Finney

James "Jim" Finney ( born August 17, 1924 in Hereford, † April 1, 2008 ) was an English FIFA referee.

Life

His career as a referee began in 1959 in the English professional league. He led the final of the British FA Cup between Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley and was employed as a linesman in the finale of the Fairs Cup in 1960. In May 1963 he was referee of the international match against Scotland Austria, which he broke 79 minutes. He had previously made ​​two Austrians from the square and gave as a reason for the match being abandoned concern for the health of the players.
