Jim Hodder (musician)
Jim Hodder ( born December 17, 1947 in Boston; † 5 June 1990) was an American drummer, known from the early days of Steely Dan.
Career
Before Steely Dan, he was a drummer and singer of the band Bead Game, the 1968 album titled Welcome to the label Fallout published on which all songs have been sung by Hodder.
He became a member of the original line of Steely Dan in 1972. On the first album, Can not Buy a Thrill, he sang the title Midnight Cruiser. After the albums Countdown to Ecstasy and Pretzel Logic Steely Dan left Hodder 1974.
The following years he worked as a studio musician, among other things, Sammy Hagar and David Soul.
1990 Hodder drowned the age of 42 in his swimming pool.
