Jim Leighton

James (Jim) Leighton MBE ( born July 24, 1958 in Johnstone, Scotland ) is a former Scottish football goalkeeper.

He graduated from 1982-1998 a total of 91 caps. During this time he participated in the World Championships 1986, 1990 and 1998.

Actually, Leighton was not nominated for the 1998 World Cup, but because it does because of his marriage in the United States came to goalkeeper Andy Goram disputes with, he was re-nominated and played with almost 40 years of his third World Cup.

He ended his professional career in 2000 with 42 years at FC Aberdeen. Leighton was in projects for Manchester United, FC Aberdeen and Hibernian.
