Jim McCann (musician)

James "Jim" McCann ( born October 26, 1944) is an Irish entertainer and folk musicians. He was from 1974 to 1979 member of the Irish folk band ' The Dubliners '. But most of his career he has performed as a solo musician.

The beginnings

As a young man he began to study medicine at University College Dublin. During a summer vacation in Birmingham he came 1964 on folk music. He started in the region perform there in Foklclubs and after his return to Dublin, he joined a group called Ludlow trio. The following year, the band had a # 1 hit with their version of Dominic Behan 's "The Sea Around Us ". A year later the group broke apart and McCann began a solo career. The time at the " Dubliners "
