Jim McWithey

James Edward "Jim" McWithey ( born July 4, 1927 in Grammer, Indiana; † February 1, 2009 in Gainesville, Georgia) was an American race car driver.

Career

Jim McWithey started in his career twice in the 500 miles of Indianapolis, which were evaluated from 1950 to 1960 as a World Championship race of the Formula 1. In 1959, he reached his first start on a Kurtis Kraft 500C Offenhauser the same lap as the winner Rodger Ward 16th place. 1960, again in Indianapolis, this time on a Epperly - Offenhauser, he was parted in the 60th round by a brake failure.
