Jimmy Lloyd

James Lloyd ( born July 5, 1939 in Liverpool, † March 22, 2013 in Skelmersdale ) was a British boxer.

Career

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 Lloyd won the bronze medal in the welterweight division. After victories over Mohammed Faragalla, Sudan (KO 2 ), Vasile Neagu, Romania ( KO 2 ), and Phil Baldwin, United States ( 3:2 ), he was defeated in the semifinals of the Italian Nino Benvenuti on points (3:2).
