Jimmy Reece
James " Jimmy" Reece ( born November 17, 1929 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; † September 28, 1958 in Trenton, New Jersey) was an American race car driver.
Career
Jimmy Reece ran 1952-1958 in 58 races of the AAA National Series. As best ranking he reached four times a second. In 1954 he finished fourth in the championship.
Six times he was at this time also in the 500 miles of Indianapolis at the start. In 1952 he made his debut on a Kurtis Kraft 4000 and finished the race in seventh place. His best finish he achieved in 1958, when he finished sixth. When you first start to this race he was involved in the fatal accident by Pat O'Connor. Since the 500 miles of Indianapolis counted from 1950 to 1960 the world championship of Formula 1, available at Reece also six starts in this series in statistics. Points he could not achieve.
Reece was killed in 1958 at AAA National race at Trenton fatal.
