Jinan Incident

The Jinan Incident, also called Tsinan incident, was an armed conflict on May 3, 1928 between the troops of the Chinese central government under Chiang Kai- shek, the Japanese army and the Kuomintang troops in Jinan (Japanese Sainan ), the capital China's Shandong province. It occurred during the applied as a continuation of the Northern Expedition Chinese offensive to extend control to areas that are considered occupied Japan to protect its interests in China. Japan then despatched troops to turn to protect its citizens and its interests.

In Jinan, the troops of the Japanese army and the Kuomintang met, where there were several exchanges of fire.

Ten months later were withdrawn all troops of both parties after negotiations between China and Japan.
