Jiotto Caspita

The Jiotto Caspita is a mid-engine sports car by the Japanese automaker Dome and was introduced in 1989 as a premiere of the year. However, a planned series production as the successor to the Dome P-2 did not take place due to lack of interest. Only three copies were produced, two of which are in a car museum, a third party in private ownership.

Prehistory

The model was developed in collaboration with the kiotoer clothing manufacturer Wacoal Corporation, which was then funded by Dome. Company directors Jiotto Giotto got the idea for it. Dome took over the development and the construction, chief designer Kunihisa Ito for the design of the vehicle. The model should have an aerodynamic shape.
