Jiří Mužík

Jiří Mužík ( born September 1, 1976 in Plzeň) is a Czech athlete who was especially successful in the 400 - meter hurdles and the 4x400 - meter relay.

Mužík ran on June 1, 1997, his first 400 - meter hurdles race. In mid-July 1997, he occupied at the U23 European Championships in fourth place over the hurdles and won silver in the relay. On August 3, he ran in the semifinals of the 1997 World Championships with 48.27 s, the fastest time of his career, the next day he was eighth in 49.51 s in the final a month later, he finished at the Universiade in fourth place.

At the European Championships 1998 in Budapest Mužík twice reached the final, but was both over the hurdles and with the season only seventh.
