Jo de Haan

Johannes " Jo " de Haan ( born December 25, 1936 in Klaaswaal, † 19 April, 2006 Huijbergen ) was a Dutch cyclist.

In 1958, Jo de Haan Dutch amateur champion in the road race. He then got a contract as a professional. His greatest successes were in 1960, the victories at Paris -Tours and the Tour de Picardie 1963 and third place at the road world championships in Ronse. During the World Cup the following year he was sixth. Three times he competed in the Tour de France, but without much success.

De Haan was one of the first Dutch racing driver who drove for French teams. In 1966 he ended his cycling career, after he had gone three years with the Dutch team Televizier under the sporting director Kees Pellenaars.
