Jo Inge Bjørnebye

Jo Inge Bjørnebye ( born October 31, 1946 in Våler, † March 24, 2013 in Elverum ) was a Norwegian ski jumper.

At the 1968 Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble Bjørnebye jumped on the normal hill on the 31st place. In 1970 he started for the first time at the Four Hills Tournament. He reached when jumping in Partenkirchen with the 4th best result of his career. In the overall standings of the Four Hills Tournament 1970/71, he finished at the end of the 6th Place. In the Four Hills Tournament 1971/72 he was unable to reach top places more. The best rankings were two fifteenth places in Innsbruck and Partenkirchen. In the end, he finished in 21st place in the overall standings. His international career ended Bjørnebye with the launch at the Olympic Winter Games in 1972 in Sapporo. He reached the normal hill the 51st and on the large hill 34th place.

Jo Inge Bjørnebye is the father of the successful football player Stig Inge Bjørnebye.
