Jo Kendall

Jo Kendall is a British actress.

She studied at the University of Cambridge. In August 1963, she appeared on the West End in London, New Zealand and Broadway, also in Cambridge University revue Cambridge Circus directed by Humphrey Barclay with Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Bill Oddie, Tim Brooke- Taylor, David Hatch and Chris Stuart -Clark.

When she came to the radio comedy, she became a regular player you at the BBC I'm Sorry, I'll Read That Again ( with John Cleese, Tim Brooke- Taylor, Bill Oddie, Graeme Garden and David Hatch ) and a member of the very first Edition of I'm Sorry I Have not a Clue. Kendall also appeared in other popular radio comedy series such as The Burkiss Way and played Lady Cynthia Fitzmelton in the pilot episode of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

When she left Comedy for ' serious ' drama, she played Annie in the 1992 movie adaptation of Howard's End, directed by James Ivory and as the matron Miss Biggs in Scum.

She also played Peggy Skilbeck in the ITV series Emmerdale Farm.
