Joachim Ehrig

Joachim Werner Ehrig ( born February 21, 1947 in Heidelberg ) is a retired German rower, who won the 1972 Olympic bronze medal in the coxless four.

The Boating Party by Etuf Food occupied in 1969 four fifth place at the European Championships. 1970, the foursome was newly appointed: To Ehrig as a hitter and his club mates Claus Schneggenburger came two rowers from Westphalia with Wolfgang Plottke from Marl and Peter Funnekötter from Münster in the boat. At the World Championships in St. Catherines this Canadian foursome came behind the boat from SC Einheit Dresden to the finish and won the silver medal. 1971 moved the Passau Franz Held for Schneggenburger into the boat. In the occupation Plottke, Heroes, Funnekötter, Ehrig the boat finished at the European Championships in Copenhagen in third place behind the Dresden quad and boat from Norway. At the 1972 Olympics in Munich, West German foursome drove in the same cast as last year and once again took the third place, it won the Dresdner four front of the boat from New Zealand.
