Joachim Grzega

Joachim Grzega [ ɡʒe ɡa ː ] ( born September 9, 1971 in Treuchtlingen ) is a German linguist and language didactics.

Life

Joachim Grzega studied English and French in Eichstätt, Salt Lake City, Paris -Sorbonne and Graz. He has taught since 1998 at the Catholic University of Eichstätt- Ingolstadt. Grzega his doctorate in 2000 in the subjects of Romanesque, English and German linguistics. His habilitation in 2004. Grzega held professorship offices in Munster, Bayreuth, Erfurt and Freiburg.

Grzegas linguistics focuses on the onomasiology, the euro linguistics, intercultural communication, the teaching of English as a lingua franca, the language teaching in general and the role of language and communication for knowledge transfer. In addition, he has developed a special system called Basic Global English for the English- start classes. With Onomasiology Online, he has one of the first peer-reviewed free-access journals of German linguistics launched. His second journal is specifically devoted to the branch of the Euro Linguistics: Journal for EuroLinguistiX.
