Joachim Pirsch

Joachim Pirsch (* October 26, 1914, † 25 August 1988) was a German rower, who with Willi Kaidel won the Olympic silver medal in the double sculls in 1936.

The rowers from Berlin Alemannia RV occupied in 1934 at the German Championships in the one second behind Gustav Schäfer. 1936 stalking formed together with the Schweinfurt Willi Kaidel a double sculls and won at the German Championships. At the Olympic Games in Berlin in 1936 occupied the two second place behind the British Jack Beresford and Leslie Southwood and received the silver medal. 1937 repeated stalking and Kaidel their success at the German Championships. At the European Championships in Amsterdam, the two won the title before booting from Hungary and Italy.
