Joachim Schlör

Joachim Schlör (* 1960 in Heilbronn) is a cultural scientist and since 2006 professor at the Parkes Institute for Jewish / non- Jewish Relations at the University of Southampton. Previously, he taught at the University of Potsdam and directed the Competence Network Jewish and Rabbinic studies. As a " spiritual father " of the DFG Research Training Group Makom (place and places in Judaism, 2001-2007 ), he made ​​a lasting contribution to the " spatial turn " in Jewish studies.

Life

1980/81 was Joachim Schlör with Andreas Maislinger volunteer in Poland Unit of Action Reconciliation / Service for Peace.
