Joakim Eriksson

Joakim Eriksson ( born June 22, 1976 in Södertälje ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is since September 2011 at the Espoo Blues in the Finnish SM- liiga under contract.

Career

Eriksson began his career in 1993 at the Södertälje SK, where he was first employed in the youth team. 1996 was appointed to the Senior Squad of the Association and the Center played until 1999 for Sweden in the Elitserien and the second-rate HockeyAllsvenskan. After he had become second-division champion, but the rise did not reach the links Sagittarius joined Djurgårdens IF, with whom he was able to achieve his greatest successes to date, with two Swedish championships.

After these successful years Eriksson returned to his hometown club back to Södertälje and completed two seasons. Thanks to good performances at club level and a surprising fourth place in the league, committed the Espoo Blues of the Finnish SM- liiga the center forward. There, however, he remained only one season and moved to 2006/ 07 back to Sweden Linköpings HC, for which he completed four seasons. With Linköping, whose captain is Eriksson he was in the years 2007 and 2008 Swedish runner-up. In April 2010, he signed a contract for three years with an option for another year at his hometown club Södertälje SK. The 2011/12 season began Eriksson with his former club Linköpings HC, with whom he also took part in the pre-season at the European Trophy, before joining end of September 2011 to his former club Espoo Blues in Finland.
