Joan Lorring

Joan Lorring ( born April 7, 1926 in Hong Kong as Mary Madeleine Ellis) is an actress.

Life

After the outbreak of World War II Ellis moved in 1939 with her mother to San Francisco in California and took a job at the radio first. Your screen debut in 1944 in Song of Russia with Robert Taylor in the title role, the same year she also filmed The Bridge of San Luis Rey. The film studio changed its name to Joan Lorring. For their outstanding performance in the green grain Lorring was nominated for the 1946 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In here, Scotland Yard was wrong and Three Strangers (both 1946), she stood with Sydney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre in front of the camera.
