Joaquín Escolán y Balibrera

Joaquín Escolan y Balibrera (* 1810 in San Salvador, † in Ciudad San Vicente) was from 30 September 1834 to October 14, 1834 Jefe Supremo and from 2 March to April 10, 1835 Member of Government Junta of the Province of El Salvador in the Central American Confederacy.

Life

Joaquín Escolan y Balibrera was a member of the Fashion Rados how the Partido Conservador then called. The Fashion Rado wanted out of the dominated by the liberal Fiebres Confederacy.

Beginning of 1833, San Vicente has been on the run with a indigenous rebellion under Anastasio Aquino Martir San Carlos, Mariano Prado Baca, the governor of the liberal José Francisco Morazán Quezada from Ciudad.

Morazán moved in 1835 the seat of government of the Federation government by decree from Guatemala City to San Salvador.

Escolan moved the government seat of the provincial government of San Salvador to Ciudad San Vicente.

October 5, 1834 to 1839 was Ciudad San Vicente government seat of the provincial government of El Salvador.

His replacement on October 14, 1834 by the liberal José María Silva happened to intervention of Morazán.

From 2 March to April 10, 1835 Escolan was chairman of a government junta with José Dionisio de la Trinidad de Herrera y Díaz del Valle. During this time, the Cabildo de Españoles chose a Jefe Supremo.
