Joburg Open

The Joburg Open is a professional golf tournament of the men on the South African Sunshine Tour. The event was founded in 2007 and is played in January at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The tournament will be played in the first two rounds on the West and East Course, with a large starting field of over 200 participants. The final two rounds will be played on the East Course, where the cut is set in the Top 65.

Since its introduction in the tournament of the European Tour is supported, thanks to a higher prize money and a stronger field of competitors at the start. The Joburg Open is one of four tournaments on the European Tour in South Africa, including the Alfred Dunhill Championship, South African Open and the Africa Open count.
