Jocelyn Delecour

Jocelyn Delecour ( born January 2, 1935 in Tourcoing ) is a French former track and field athlete. At a height of 1.75 m his competition weight was 65 kg.

Sporting career

As early as 1956 Delecour was at the Olympic Games in Melbourne at the start. With the French 4 x 100 - meter relay, he bowed out in 41.3 s to 40.8 s in the run- off. In Stockholm at the European Championships in 1958, he was fourth in the s 100 meter dash in 10.5. In the 200 - meter race he won in 21.3 s and bronze in the relay, he finished in 41.0 s fifth place.

His second at the Olympics took place in Rome in 1960. He retired from the 100 and 200 meters in the quarterfinals. The squadron was disqualified in the flow. At the European Championships 1962 in Belgrade, he won the 100 meters in 10.4 s silver behind his compatriot Claude Piquemal. In the 200 -meter run Delecour was fourth in 21.0 s. At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 Delecour was the third time at the start. With 21.2 s he left about 200 meters in the semifinals. With the season he won bronze in 39.3 s behind the seasons from the United States and Poland. In the relay Paul Genevay, Bernard Laidebeur, Piquemal and Delecour were in use.

With 31 years Delecour Jocelyn joined the European Championships in Budapest in 1966 only in the relay at. In the occupation Marc Berger, Jocelyn Delecour, Claude Piquemal and Roger Bambuck the French squadron won in 39.4 seconds before the relay from the Soviet Union.
